New patients
You will be asked to complete a confidential medical history as part of a full dental examination including oral cancer risk. You may be surprised how thorough this first examination is, but it is essential to assess all aspects of oral health, including soft tissues, articulatory system and various risk factors, as well as the teeth
and gums.
At 61 Dental we only offer treatments after a thorough assessment of your individual needs. Our treatments are always evidence based, so we won’t try and sell you unnecessary or untried treatments.
Sometimes corrective changes to home care or diet are required before treatment can take place; sometimes that is all that is needed. We use advanced technologies such as miniature intra-oral cameras and digital X-rays to accurately detect problems at an early stage. This is included in your initial consultation fee.
Based on our findings you’ll be offered a recommended treatment plan, usually with other options based on personal preference or cost. We will also issue a printed estimate to you.
